POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Tack Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and proper operation of the equipment. We require that they be committed to the total Ajax team effort by contributing to the proper completion of the work as directed by the Foreman. Position Requirements
LICENSING/REGISTRATION
Minimum Requirement:
Class B with Tanker Endorsement and/or CDL Class
A RESPONSIBILITIES
Note:
The following duties are descriptive and not exhaustive. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.
Major duties include the following:
1. Proper maintenance of the truck and distributor, including tire pressure, fluid levels, lights, etc. 2. Keep equipment clean and organized; all necessary supplies and materials loaded and ready. 3. Heat tack and operate tack truck. 4. Take beginning and ending tack readings; complete tack report. 5. Help with prep, broom, stringline, etc. 6. Must direct sanding operations so as to minimize cleanup. 7. Help clean out paver and put tools back on service truck. 8. Run screw 9. Assist MOT as needed. 10. Keep foreman informed of progress and problems relating to keeping the planned schedule. 11. Assist on the job as directed by foreman. 12. Keep shop informed of equipment problems. 13. Must report time spent and materials used on a daily basis as directed by foreman. 14. Must protect areas that are not designated to be primed; must communicate with foreman when help is required to provide proper protection.
SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL 1.
Abide by all rules listed in the Ajax employee handbook. 2. Ensure all Ajax quality standards are met. 3. Ensure adherence to all federal, state, local and Ajax Safety and Environmental Rules and Regulations.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS 1.
Field operation - Work is exposed to outdoor conditions, noise and heat. 2. Ability to work days, nights and weekends as required.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The essential functions of this position includes sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, bending, twisting, trunk movements, lifting minimum of 45 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.

ATTENDANCE AND RELIABILITY 1.
Reporting to work on time, after lunch, and not leaving early unless authorized. 2. Always providing proper notification and advance notice of absence. 3. Not abusing or taking advantage of personal days off. 4. Performing such other duties as may be required.
