Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Tow Truck Operator to join our dynamic roadside assistance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring efficient recovery operations. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and driving will be essential to deliver prompt and professional service to our clients. Duties Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized equipment, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently Conduct automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery approach Load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate tools such as forklifts or manual methods Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, dispatchers, and emergency responders Manage conflict situations professionally while maintaining safety protocols during recovery operations Perform routine inspections of tow truck equipment and perform basic automotive repairs as needed Follow all safety guidelines and traffic laws to ensure safe driving and recovery operations at all times Experience Proven experience operating tow trucks, including flatbed or hook-and-chain types Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on automotive repair skills Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and manual transmission systems Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred Mechanic experience or certification is a plus Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict calmly and professionally Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values safety, professionalism, and outstanding service.
