Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Local Roll-Off Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating our roll-off truck, to collect and deliver waste containers within the local area. Your expertise in heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and efficient route management will ensure smooth service delivery while maintaining safety standards. Duties Safely operate roll-off truck to pick up and deliver waste containers. Load and unload containers using mechanical knowledge of truck mechanisms and manual handling techniques. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Manage route schedules efficiently to meet daily service commitments while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and address any issues promptly. Perform heavy lifting tasks related to container handling, ensuring proper load securement and safety procedures are followed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, vehicle maintenance, and operational logs. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Proven experience in driving heavy-duty trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off trucks, or dump trucks. Strong mechanical knowledge of truck systems, hydraulic mechanisms, and flatbed operations. Ability to perform manual lifting tasks safely for extended periods. Experience with delivery driving or waste collection services preferred. Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation. Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and team coordination. Physical ability to handle heavy loads and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
