Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Preschool Driver & Classroom Floater to join our dynamic team. This vital role combines safe transportation responsibilities with flexible classroom support, ensuring a positive and enriching environment for young learners. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood development, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a lively, collaborative setting. Key Responsibilities As a Driver - Primary Responsibility Safely transport children to and from school and other authorized locations. Ensure the safety and well-being of children throughout the transportation process. Follow all school transportation policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized school vehicle. Conduct required vehicle safety checks and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns. Ensure children are safely supervised when boarding and exiting the vehicle. Maintain required transportation and child records. Communicate professionally and respectfully with families, teachers, and school administration. Maintain a safe and professional driving record at all times. As a Preschool Floater When transportation duties are not required, the employee will support the preschool team by: Assisting teachers in different preschool classrooms based on the needs of the school. Supporting positive classroom management and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Assisting with daily routines, transitions, meals, nap/rest time, outdoor activities, and classroom activities. Engaging with children in a caring, respectful, and age-appropriate manner.

Following all health, safety, DCF, and school procedures. Supporting teachers with classroom organization and daily activities Collaborating with teachers and school leadership to meet the needs of the children and the school. Adapting easily to different classrooms and daily responsibilities. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Clean and safe driving record. Previous experience driving professionally or transporting children is strongly preferred. Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is strongly preferred.} Experience with classroom management or in an early childhood education setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsible, dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious. Patient and comfortable working with young children. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families. Flexibility to transition between transportation and classroom responsibilities. Must meet all applicable DCF and early childhood licensing requirements for the position.
