Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that fuels your passion for driving and logistics! In this position, you will operate tractor-trailers and various commercial vehicles to transport freight across regional and over-the-road (OTR) routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure safe, efficient deliveries while adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks, including those with manual transmissions, across diverse routes such as route driving and OTR assignments Load, secure, and unload freight using manual handling techniques while ensuring cargo integrity and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules and optimize routes for fuel efficiency Transport refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, or other specialized freight like flatbed or tanker loads with precision and care Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations to ensure vehicle safety and compliance Deliver freight to various destinations while maintaining excellent customer service standards during pickups and drop-offs Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, inspection reports, and delivery records in compliance with FMCSA regulations Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across regional or OTR routes Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations, flatbed handling, tanker transport, and hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) certification is a plus Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading/unloading processes while following safety protocols Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and hazardous materials handling procedures Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and professionalism Embark on a rewarding career that combines your love for driving with the thrill of logistics!
