Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A Truck Driver and take the wheel of a variety of freight transportation operations! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty trucks to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills and contribute to our commitment to reliable freight movement. Responsibilities Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across various routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with all regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports in accordance with federal and state laws. Follow designated routes diligently, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure on-time deliveries. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit. Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or other trailers to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Experience Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty trucks in a commercial setting. Familiarity with driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is highly preferred. Experience with load & unload operations, including working with freight that requires specialized handling such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely. Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight transportation.
