Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various 24ft -26ft box truck with lift-gate to deliver freight efficiently and on time. Your expertise in route planning, adherence to safety regulations, and manual handling skills will ensure smooth transportation operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our delivery network, supporting our commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured according to logistics cargo handling standards. Maintain accurate documentation for each delivery, including logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, and delivery receipts. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any incidents encountered during transit. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with a strong understanding of truck loading and unloading procedures. Valid commercial driver's license ( NON-CDL) Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Ability to handle logistics cargo handling tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for route planning across over-the-road routes. Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload activities involving freight of varying sizes and weights.
