Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials across construction sites, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of dirt, gravel, debris, and other materials. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and adherence to safety regulations will contribute directly to the successful completion of construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your skills in machinery maintenance and utility work to support our project goals. Duties Safely operate dump trucks in accordance with federal and company safety regulations, including equipment safety procedures and construction site safety standards. Transport construction materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk items between locations on the site or from suppliers. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on dump trucks and related heavy equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance. Assist with construction utility work by supporting excavation activities using loaders, backhoes, excavators, or other machinery as needed. Coordinate with site supervisors and other heavy equipment operators to facilitate smooth workflow during excavation, grading, or utility installation tasks. Follow all construction grading specifications and site plans while operating machinery like Caterpillar equipment or excavators. Maintain accurate logs of materials transported, equipment usage, and safety inspections for compliance and reporting purposes. Requirements Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles such as dump trucks; construction experience preferred. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating dump trucks and related machinery. Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery. Familiarity with construction utility work, excavation processes, and construction site safety regulations including federal safety standards. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely while adhering to construction safety procedures and equipment safety protocols. Strong understanding of construction grading techniques and site logistics coordination. Knowledge of utility locating procedures to ensure safe excavation activities around underground utilities is a plus.
