Seasonal CDL Truck Driver

is hiring CDL Truck Drivers for the upcoming 2026 peanut harvest season. Drivers will primarily haul peanuts locally from farms and fields to our peanut buying and processing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for seasonal work with substantial overtime potential during harvest without long-haul or over-the-road routes. Qualified seasonal drivers may also have the opportunity to transition into full-time employment after harvest. Job Duties Haul peanuts locally from farms/fields to the peanut plant Safely operate company trucks and trailers Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections Properly position trucks and trailers for loading and unloading Maintain required driving and delivery documentation Communicate with dispatch, farmers, and plant personnel Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures Assist with other transportation duties as needed during harvest Qualifications Valid CDL required Safe driving record Ability to safely operate and maneuver tractor-trailers Dependable and punctual Able to work independently and follow instructions Agricultural hauling experience is preferred but not required Must be willing to work extended hours during harvest Schedule This position requires flexibility during peanut harvest. Drivers should expect long hours and overtime, with evening and weekend work required when harvest conditions demand it. Plenty of overtime is available during peak harvest. Routes are primarily local, allowing drivers to return home rather than running traditional over-the-road routes. Seasonal-to-Full-Time Opportunity While we are hiring specifically for harvest, we are also interested in finding dependable drivers who may be a good fit for full-time, year-round employment with Candler Peanut Inc.
