Job Description
About us New Era Transport and Logistics, L.L.C is a trucking and logistics company in the Savannah area. We are looking for experienced drivers that are able to direct themselves daily when delivering loads. Driver must have a clean driving record, TWIC Card, and CDL. Drivers must be self motivated, organized, and communicate well. Drivers will operate drayage loads out of the Savannah port delivering in the Southeast region and are home daily. Pay is direct deposited weekly. Immediate openings are available. Drivers are available to start this week.
Responsibilities:
- Transport goods and materials to and from specified locations.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the truck.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or accidents.
Requirements:
- TWIC Card Required
- 24 months of CDL Experience required
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated (e.g., Class A for tractor-trailers).
- Proven experience as a truck driver, with a solid driving record.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks and equipment, such as dump trucks, tankers, flatbeds, and forklifts.
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures for transporting hazardous materials (if applicable).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
