Position Summary:

The truck driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting materials and products using a tractor-trailer, while supporting material handling operations. This role includes moving trailers throughout company property, assisting with loading and unloading activities, conducting vehicle inspections, and ensuring compliance with all safety and transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Able to safely operate a tractor-trailer in accordance with DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
• Transport products, materials, and equipment within a 150-mile radius of the facility.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete all required vehicle inspection reports.
• Move and position trailers as directed by supervision to support production and shipping requirements.
• Load, unload, and assist in handling materials, products, and containers as required.
• Secure loads using chains, binders, straps, and other approved load-securing equipment.
• Service vehicles by monitoring and replenishing fuel, oil, water, and other required fluids.
• Identify and report vehicle malfunctions, damage, or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain transportation records, logs, and all required documentation, including odometer readings for each trip.
• Read and follow schedules, transportation procedures, and work instructions.
• Work collaboratively with material handling, shipping, supply chain, and production personnel.
• Be flexible and available to work overtime as needed to support operational requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Minimum two (2) years of tractor-trailer driving experience required.
• Previous experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment preferred.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, vehicle inspections, and load securement practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb in and out of trucks and trailers frequently throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and material handling equipment throughout the workday.

Pay:

$25.00 - $26.00 per hour
