Yard Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Driver to join our team. The Yard Driver will be responsible for maneuvering and transporting trailers within the yard, ensuring efficient operations and timely deliveries. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving and the ability to operate various types of vehicles safely and effectively. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailer units within the yard to move freight between loading docks and storage areas. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maneuver flatbed trailers, and other equipment as needed for loading and unloading operations. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely processing of shipments and deliveries. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating vehicles. Skills Current Class A - CDL is required. Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tractor-trailer units. Familiarity with flatbed driving, route driving Experience with forklift operation is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
