Overview Join our dynamic team as a Semi Truck Driver Class A and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a commercial vehicle. As a key player in our logistics network, you will ensure timely load and unload operations, maintain compliance with safety standards, and uphold the highest level of customer service. Duties Safely operate Class A semi truck with manual transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Drive various types of trailers including refrigerated and tanker, to deliver goods to customers on time. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each trip. Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while managing delivery schedules and communicating any delays proactively. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations. Collaborate with dispatchers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments as needed for optimal efficiency. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid Class A CDL license. Must have Hazmat, Tanker and TWIC Cards. Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles safely and efficiently. Experience driving various trailer types including refrigerated trailers, tankers. Excellent route planning skills with the ability to adapt to changing schedules or road conditions. Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial drivers. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety.
