Job Description

Position Summary The Meat Distribution Driver is responsible for transporting meat products from the production facility or warehouse to assigned supermarkets and retail locations. The role ensures safe, timely deliveries while strictly following food safety standards, cold-chain requirements, and internal operating procedures. This position combines professional driving, product verification, delivery documentation, and effective communication with store personnel. Key Responsibilities Safe transportation of meat products following assigned routes and all traffic regulations. Load verification : check that all products are complete, properly packaged, and at the correct temperature before departure. Cold-chain maintenance throughout the entire route, monitoring thermometers and reporting any deviations. Supermarket delivery : unload products, confirm quantities with store staff, and obtain signatures or delivery confirmations. Route documentation : complete delivery logs, temperature records, and dispatch forms. Vehicle care : perform basic inspections, report mechanical issues, and maintain the truck clean and organized. Internal customer service : communicate respectfully with store managers and resolve questions related to deliveries. Compliance with sanitary regulations and company food-handling protocols. Job Requirements Valid commercial GEORGIA drivers license. Previous experience in delivery operations, preferably with food or perishable goods. 24 foot truck. Basic knowledge of cold-chain management , hygiene, and food-handling practices. Ability to lift boxes and perform physical tasks. Strong time-management skills and route-completion discipline. Effective communication with store personnel and supervisors.
