Driver / Resident Support Specialist Forge Recovery Center Forge Recovery Center is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and recovery-minded individual to join our team as a Recovery Driver / Resident Support Specialist . This position plays an important role in helping residents navigate their recovery journey by providing safe transportation, accountability, and daily support. Position Summary The Recovery Driver / Resident Support Specialist is responsible for transporting residents to appointments, employment, recovery meetings, and community activities while promoting a safe, structured, and recovery-focused environment. This individual will serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and respect for every resident. Primary Responsibilities Safely transport residents to: Medical appointments Counseling sessions Court appearances Employment and job interviews Recovery meetings (AA/NA, Celebrate Recovery, etc.) Community service assignments Approved program activities Maintain transportation schedules and ensure residents arrive on time. Conduct vehicle safety inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness. Complete transportation logs and required documentation. Assist staff in maintaining resident accountability during transportation. Support daily program operations as needed. Communicate effectively with clinical staff, leadership, and residents. Model healthy recovery principles and professional behavior. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Valid Georgia driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Experience working in behavioral health, recovery, peer support, or social services is preferred. CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
