Job Description
About Us Push Iron and Metals is a local metals recycling company servicing commercial and residential accounts. Once material enters the yard, it is sorted, processed, and is outbounded to mills and foundries where they melt the materials and ready it for new products. Our drivers play an important role in getting material to the facility for processing. Our drivers primarily operate tractor-trailers, however, we also utilize straight trucks as part of our fleet to collect material from customers. Responsibilities of our CDL drivers include: Responsibilities Follow dispatch schedules for customer pickups and/or swaps Performing inspections before and after operations Performing preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers Communicate with scale attendant and yard employees when receiving material May be required to assist in other departments as needed Skills required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be a self motivated individual Must work independently and as part of a team Organization and Time Management Meet objectives within time constraints while working in a fast-paced environment Must be highly organized, results oriented, and have a high level of commitment to quality Ability to receive critique and work with diverse perspectives towards a common objective Hours Operational hours 7:30-4:00, Monday through Friday Benefits Health, Dental, Vision Insurance Matching IRA (100% vested day 1) Vacation and Paid Holidays Uniforms provided Workwear incentives
