Role:
Doyle Transit is looking for a dependable Class A CDL Driver to operate a semi pulling a side-dump trailer. This position involves hauling aggregate and construction materials, including dirt, rock, gravel, sand, and demolition debris. Drivers will travel between job sites, gravel pits, quarries, landfills, and other locations while working closely with dispatchers, equipment operators, contractors, and customers. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, reliable, comfortable driving on active construction sites and uneven terrain, and experienced with side-dump or similar hauling equipment.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate company trucks and equipment Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Properly secure and protect all cargo Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and delivery paperwork Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety procedures Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and other team members Report mechanical problems, accidents, delays, or safety concerns promptly Keep assigned equipment clean and in good working condition
Requirements:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Clean and acceptable driving record Current DOT medical card Must meet all applicable DOT and company qualification requirements Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening Must participate in random drug and alcohol testing as required by law Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record review Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles in different road and weather conditions Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Strong communication and time-management skills 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred but not required
