Job Description
Driver Class A/Distribution Center Worker This hybrid position is based in our Ottumwa location. Driven to serve? Come join our hunger-fighting team! Great daytime hours, no overnight routes and off early on Fridays! Paid seasonal closure in late December. The Driver Class A/Distribution Center Worker is responsible for driving a box truck and/or semi to deliver agency orders and pick up donated food, keeping the distribution center orderly and clean, pulling orders and assisting with agency order pick-ups. Qualifications Commitment to Food Bank of Iowa's vision, mission and values Professional maturity, good judgment, integrity and honesty Possession of a valid Iowa Class A Driver's License and current DOT printout with no moving violations Knowledge of and compliance with warehouse procedures and common standards Acute attention to accuracy in fulfillment of all responsibilities Proven ability to work steadily and independently with minimal supervision Ability to lift items up to 60 pounds consistently and up to 80 - 100 pounds occasionally Motorized forklift certified or aptitude to learn Ability to work inside freezers and coolers with temperatures of -10 to 38 degrees Must be drug free and will periodically submit to a third-party random drug test
