Post Metal Recycling provides industrial, on-site, and yard drop-off scrap metal services for customers across the area. As a Roll-Off Truck Driver, you'll deliver, pick up, and exchange roll-off boxes, supporting our fast-turn scrap operations with safe driving, great customer service, and efficient turnarounds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Operate roll-off trucks to deliver, pick up, and exchange boxes; confirm safe placement and loading/unloading. Evaluate each delivery and pickup site for overhead power lines, traffic, pedestrians, uneven or soft ground, and adequate clearance before placing or retrieving a container. Safely operate roll-off hoist equipment and inspect containers, cables/hooks, tarps, and related components; report defects or damage promptly. Secure and tarp roll-off containers and loads; verify safe/legal weight distribution and follow assigned route plans. Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, keep ELD/logs current, and follow all DOT and company safety requirements. Communicate ETAs, box needs, and site details with dispatch and customers. Handle scale tickets/receipts and basic paperwork accurately. Keep the truck, cab, and roll-off equipment clean and report maintenance concerns promptly. Pitch in with light yard tasks when driving volume is low. Schedule/Hours Daytime, Monday-Friday focus with occasional extended days as needed Home daily; routes originate from the Rock Valley yard and serve local/regional customers Qualifications Class A CDL (CDL-A) — Required Current DOT medical card and insurable/clean MVR Ability to lift/move 50+ lbs and work outdoors year-round Ability to frequently climb in and out of the truck, bend, reach, and work safely on uneven surfaces Knowledge of load securement (chains/straps/binders) and safe backing practices Willingness to complete a pre-employment drug screen per company policy Preferred Skills Roll-off (cable or hook-lift) experience; heavy straight-truck experience Familiarity with ferrous/non-ferrous materials and scale procedures Strong customer service at job sites; clear, professional communication Basic mechanical aptitude; ELD/log experience Apply Today!
