These are full-time seasonal positions lasting eight months or longer. Paid training on sweeper-truck operation is provided.

Pay and schedule:

Starting at $20/hour. Work four 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Occasional earlier start times may be required. Enjoy three-day weekends throughout the summer!

Available crews:

Broom Crew Drive a 10-wheel dump truck to haul and dispose of waste and debris collected by sweeper trucks Operate a sweeper truck to clean Ada County roadways Complete paid training on sweeper-truck operation Perform other related duties as assigned Chip Seal/Maintenance Crew Drive a 10-wheel dump truck to haul and unload asphalt chips Back the truck up to a moving chip-spreader box and connect it for loading Operate a roller and assist the ground crew as needed Perform other related duties as assigned What you'll need: Valid Idaho Class A CDL for the Chip Seal/Maintenance Crew Valid Idaho Class A or Class B CDL for the Broom Crew Good driving record Self-motivation and a strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Ability to follow Highway District processes and instructions Commitment to following all safety policies and regulations Ability to safely and professionally operate trucks and equipment Ability to work 10-hour shifts outdoors in varying weather conditions
