The primary purpose of this role is to provide logs to IFG mills through day-to-day transportation of logs.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Driver is responsible for doing all DOT required daily vehicle pre-inspection and post-inspection. Operates truck in accordance with DOT, state and city regulations, as well as all Company guidelines. Follow electronic tracking procedures. Follow safety rules at all times. Attend and participate in safety meetings and training. Use prescribed safety equipment that is required to safely do the job at hand. Report unsafe acts or conditions, injuries and/or incidents to his or her immediate Supervisor or Safety Personnel. Work independently with minimal oversight. Other duties as needed.Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of experience in CDL OTR truck driving with 100,000 GVW capable OTR equipment. Minimum 3 years driving log truck. Valid Idaho Class A CDL.Skills:
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check. #BTS PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distance, and climb stairs. Bend at waist- occasional Twist upper body
