Job Description

Who We Are:
Watkins Distributing is a family owned and operated beverage distribution company that has serviced Idaho and Montana for four generations.
Job Summary:
The delivery driver will be responsible for local delivery activities within a defined territory. The work schedule is 4, 10 hour shifts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform a pre-trip inspection of the assigned vehicle and equipment. Operate the designated delivery route safely and efficiently while following all DOT regulations and applicable traffic laws. Unload product from trailers using a pallet jack and/or hand truck. Confirm deliveries with store personnel and check in all merchandise upon arrival. Verify order accuracy by checking quantities and obtaining customer signatures. Stock cooler space, shelf space, and promotional displays at each account. Rotate stock according to company freshness and merchandising guidelines. Collect empty keg shells, damaged goods, and incorrectly ordered items for return credit. Gather invoices and complete all required daily route paperwork. Stay in close communication with sales representatives and retail account contacts. Execute other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
Previous delivery driving experience preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean record and no major traffic violations. Able to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL along with a valid medical card. Able to safely handle a fully loaded hand truck. Comfortable operating handheld computers and route management devices.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Must be able to routinely lift and move beverage cases weighing 20-30 lbs., and lift up to 160 lbs. to waist height. The role requires frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for long periods. Work is carried out independently while serving multiple retail accounts each day. Must be able to operate delivery vehicles safely across varying weather and road conditions.
