Job Description
Overview Master Environmental Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, safety-focused Environmental Service Technician to operate heavy trucks and support daily waste collection and transportation activities. This role involves handling, loading, and transporting both non-hazardous and hazardous waste from multiple customer locations to approved facilities while maintaining full compliance with DOT, EPA, and company safety standards. Duties Safely operate Class A CDL vehicles (including trucks with automatic and manual transmissions) for both intrastate and interstate routes. Load and unload liquid and solid waste using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, drum dollies, hoses, pumps). Handle a variety of equipment and vehicles including pickups, box trailers, pump trucks, and tractor/trailer tanker combinations. Properly package, label, secure, and document waste streams for transport in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Transport waste from customer sites to disposal facilities or company locations for transfer or storage. Operate electronic logging devices (ELDs) and complete accurate paper logs when required. Follow routing, scheduling, and workflow instructions and adapt to changes as needed. Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, customers, and team members. Maintain a clean driving and safety record and represent the company professionally at all times. Experience Valid Class A CDL with a minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience . Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission trucks. Clean driving record. Ability to obtain Hazardous Materials (HazMat) and Tanker endorsements within 3-6 months of hire. Ability to pass all required background checks (including TSA) and maintain a valid DOT medical certificate. Willingness and ability to travel; occasional overnight stays required. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs safely. Basic proficiency with computers, smartphones, and tablets. Ability to understand and operate electronic logs (ELDs) and complete paper logs if needed. Ability to legally and safely operate on all state and federal highways. Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to load and unload trucks and trailers using basic material-handling equipment. Possess a basic understanding of workflow dynamics, routing, and scheduling. Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and willingness to seek guidance on complex issues. Willingness to learn and operate additional equipment (such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts). Strong communication and teamwork skills. We look forward to hearing from you!
