Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a FedEx Ground Driver, where you will be the vital link delivering packages efficiently and safely to our valued customers. This role offers an energetic and rewarding opportunity to operate various vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, while providing exceptional customer service. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll ensure timely deliveries, maintain safety standards, and uphold the company's commitment to excellence. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy driving and manual handling, this position is perfect for you! You must be 21 years old or older. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks or personal vehicles to deliver packages across designated routes while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to verify safety and operational readiness before each shift Navigate delivery routes efficiently using mobile devices for directions and communication with dispatchers Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages promptly and professionally, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns with a positive attitude Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts in compliance with company policies Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including moving packages within the facility using manual handling equipment Skills Previous warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse operations are highly desirable Proven commercial driving experience, especially with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and driving skills for delivery driving roles Experience with load & unload procedures, heavy lifting, and safe manual handling practices Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks in a warehouse setting Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial truck driving and weight handling in the workplace Excellent customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities Comfort using mobile devices for route navigation and delivery updates Experience with courier or driver roles is a plus A willingness to wear only approved Fedex clothing.
