Job Description
The Village of Barrington Public Works Department seeks motivated individuals to work as on-call Seasonal Support Staff. General duties include a variety of snow and ice control activities including snow plowing, salting, and hand shoveling. The hours for this position are flexible, on an as-needed basis only and will vary depending on weather conditions. We do our best to work around your schedule, so this is a good opportunity if you're looking to supplement income. Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a High School diploma or equivalent, possess a valid Illinois Driver's License, CDL B with airbrakes preferred, and be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. This role requires the ability to: understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively in English, perform work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and safely operate motor vehicles.
