Job Overview Join our team as a Class B CDL Route Driver and become a vital part of efficient waste management operations! In this energetic role, you will operate various commercial trucks—including a rear loader, and roll-off trucks—to collect, transport, and dispose of municipal and solid waste materials. Your expertise in safe driving, vehicle operation, and customer service will ensure smooth daily routes while maintaining compliance with all safety and transportation regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate Class B commercial trucks such as rear loaders, and roll-off trucks to collect waste from designated routes. Load, unload, and secure waste materials efficiently while adhering to hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic mechanical checks, and report any maintenance needs to ensure optimal truck performance. Follow all traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and state transportation rules during route driving to guarantee safety for yourself and others. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during pickups and addressing any questions or concerns. Maintain accurate logs of daily routes, loads, and disposal activities in compliance with regulatory standards. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and operate manual transmission vehicles with proficiency to meet daily operational demands. Experience Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement required. Proven experience operating heavy-duty trucks such as rear loaders, or roll-off trucks in municipal waste management or solid waste collection. Familiarity with traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and safety protocols essential for safe route driving. Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially involving load & unload procedures in outdoor environments. Mechanical knowledge of commercial trucks to identify basic issues and perform routine maintenance checks. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
