Job Overview In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers. Knowledge oflogistics , route driving, and compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including tankers. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across diverse locations. Load and unload freight efficiently, adhering to proper manual handling procedures and logistics cargo handling protocols. Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA regulations during transit and loading/unloading processes. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and shift reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards; report any issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, and/or customers when necessary to coordinate deliveries or address incidents. Experience Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving for freight delivery over the road (OTR). Hands-on experience with truck loading and unloading procedures. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and safety protocols related to truck driving. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with tractor-trailers preferred. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning on OTR routes. Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling, route management, and customer service is highly desirable.
