Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Class C Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods and materials efficiently across designated routes. Your focus will be on providing excellent customer service, adhering to traffic regulations, and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving, manual handling, and warehouse operations to contribute to our logistics excellence. Duties Safely operate a box truck and other commercial vehicles to complete scheduled deliveries and pickups across various locations. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices. Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and ensure all documentation is accurately completed in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance. Assist with warehouse operations by moving goods, organizing inventory, and supporting material handling activities as needed. Maintain clear communication using mobile devices to update routes, report issues, or receive delivery instructions. Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups, addressing any questions or concerns effectively. Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with warehouse experience and commercial driving background. Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or vans is highly desirable. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and the ability to operate manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, weight handling in the workplace, and safe lifting practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage route driving efficiently using mobile devices or GPS systems. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service; professional demeanor required at all times. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
