Truck Driver: CDL Class B

Schedule:

Sundays 7:00 am - 5:30 pm (Starting at our Hillside, IL location). Monday - Wednesday 9:00 am-7:30pm (Starting at our McCook, IL location) We require a Drivers License Class B with a

$23 hourly paid bi-weekly +

Benefits Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Have variety with an opportunity to drive all company vehicles for customer routes in and around the metro Chicago area. Be given the trust and respect to be responsible for loading, packing, and inventorying deliveries Complete all necessary paperwork regarding the deliveries made. Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes to ensure that vehicles are in proper working conditions Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles for a maximum of 50 lbs Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions. Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers. Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with regulations. Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs. Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles. Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios. Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.

Requirements Qualifications:

A positive, can-do attitude A current Driver's License, CDL Class B required An accident-free driving record Knowledge of Chicago and surrounding areas Ability to see under low light and see details at close range Ability to comprehend English both written and verbally and effectively communicate with warehouse staff, as well as customers Comprehensive understanding of moving and storage operations including being proficient at packing and loading Ability to comprehend and implement oral instructions and work proactively with little or no supervision
