Job Description
Agronomy CDL Driver (Class A or B)Tonica, IL$30.00/Hour Express Employment Professionals is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Agronomy CDL Driver for a respected agricultural operation in the Tonica, IL area. This position is responsible for operating a Tender Truck or Nurse Truck to support agronomy and field operations during the agricultural season. Candidates must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL, Tanker Endorsement, Hazmat Endorsement, and be able to operate a manual transmission. Schedule Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Weekend work as needed during peak seasons Pay $30.00 per hour Job Responsibilities Safely operate tender trucks and nurse trucks to transport seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products. Deliver products to field locations in a timely and efficient manner. Load and unload liquid and dry agricultural products as needed. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate delivery and transportation records. Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures. Communicate effectively with agronomy staff, dispatch, and customers. Assist with other agronomy-related duties during downtime. Qualifications Valid Class A or Class B CDL. Current Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements required. Ability to drive a manual transmission. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety practices. Previous agricultural, agronomy, tender truck, or nurse truck experience preferred. Ability to work long hours during busy planting and harvest seasons. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
