Garbage Truck Driver

Overview Join our team as a Garbage Truck Driver and become an essential part of our waste collection operation! In this role, you will operate a rear loader truck, to collect and transport waste materials. Your expertise in driving heavy-duty vehicles, combined with mechanical knowledge and manual skills, will ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate a commercial truck such as front loader, rear loader, or roll-off to collect waste from designated locations. Perform routine inspections of trucks before and after shifts to ensure mechanical integrity and safety compliance. Conduct heavy lifting tasks when necessary to assist with waste collection or equipment handling. Follow established routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of daily pickups, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance logs. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate schedules and report any operational issues promptly. Experience Experience operating heavy-duty trucks such as front loaders, rear loaders, roll-offs, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers in a commercial setting. Strong driving skills with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), including manual transmission proficiency. Class B minimum. Mechanical knowledge related to truck maintenance, troubleshooting minor issues, and performing basic repairs is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks. Prior delivery driver experience or familiarity with route management is a plus. Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy vehicle operation and waste management practices. $25.00 per hour
