Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Tow Truck Driver to join our dynamic towing and recovery team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating tow trucks to assist stranded vehicles, recover disabled or illegally parked vehicles, and support our fleet operations. Your expertise in commercial vehicle operation, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills will ensure efficient service delivery while maintaining safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your driving skills and mechanical aptitude make a real difference every day. Duties Operate tow trucks with manual and automatic transmission and other commercial vehicles such as flatbeds, heavy haul trucks, or box trucks to recover and transport vehicles efficiently. Load, secure, and unload vehicles using equipment like chains, tie-downs and winches to ensure safe transport. Respond promptly to roadside assistance requests, including vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or illegal parking situations. Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks and related equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and emergency responders to coordinate vehicle recovery operations. Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, including locations, times, and vehicle details for accountability and reporting purposes. Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws while operating heavy equipment and commercial vehicles in various environments. Qualifications Proven experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person, male or female. Strong driving skills with a valid driver's license; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred but not mandatory depending on the vehicle type. Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic vehicle maintenance skills are a plus. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers effectively. Ability to perform manual tasks such as moving heavy objects or securing loads safely. Prior experience in route driving, roadside assistance, or fleet support is highly desirable.
