Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trailers on local routes. Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and manual handling procedures. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following all hazardous materials regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) guidelines. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards and report any issues promptly. Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials regulations during all operations. Load & unload cargo accurately, managing logistics cargo handling processes for various freight types including equipment, freight, and specialty loads. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or route driving with a focus on freight transportation. Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling techniques. Experience operating different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers trailers. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution. Ability to comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations. Strong understanding of truck driving safety protocols and hazard management procedures. Excellent manual transmission skills preferred; experience with end dumps. Ability to handle manual handling tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards.

Pay:

$21.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
