Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, delivers presold product orders to supermarket clients on an assigned route. The product is Hispanic branded meats and cheeses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Unload product at customers' locations and stock according to customer specifications and is responsible for collecting signed receipt documents from customers in accordance to company policy Load truck at distribution center, acknowledge and signed receipt of product loaded at distribution center, or received from carrier Perform accounts receivable activities including but not limited to, issue and review signed invoices and credit memos; follow procedures for inventory proof of delivery and returns. Receives payment for product delivered Inspect vehicle and, maintain vehicle / driver records, current license plates and insurance, and routine maintenance as required by company procedures and DOT / State regulations; promptly report any vehicle mechanical issues, accidents or driving violations Participates with Administration in daily inventory and product return reconciliations; Verify all scheduled product deliveries were completed Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year of sales route experience Fluent in Spanish and intermediate proficiency in English (DOT Requirement)
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
Valid driver's license for state of residence, and vehicle insurance as required by state MVR which meets Sigma driving standards
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience delivering refrigerated food to stores
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
Able to work in a cold environment of approximately 34˚ F for prolonged periods of time. Able to travel up to 10% of the time
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to sit and drive for a full shift of at least 8 hours Able to climb up/down, in/out of truck cab and truck body Able to stand for at least 4 hours Can repeatedly lift and move 30-pound boxes/buckets on/off shelves or cart/hand-truck Can repeatedly turn, twist, kneel, stoop, stand, rotate, bend, push or pull to move 30 pounds Able to repeatedly move 75-pound load on a cart/hand-truck without assistance Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance And more......
