Job Description

Job Overview The Driver is responsible for safely and accurately transporting materials in accordance with all DOT and state requirements. Duties and Responsibilities Completes pre-shift/startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns. Delivers goods in a timely and efficient manner Deliver goods to customers in a timely and efficient manner Ensure that all deliveries are made in accordance with company policy and procedure Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork Communicate effectively with dispatch and other drivers to ensure smooth operation of local trucking fleet Inspect truck before each shift to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations Report any mechanical or maintenance issues to supervisor Participates in safety and other programs. • Other duties may be assigned or reassigned at any time. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proven experience as licensed CDL driver Clean driving record Ability to pass a DOT drug test and physical. Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions Education and Experience Two year's related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; required Experience with driving a straight tuck with conestoga curtin preferred.
