Transport Driver

Evansville Protestant Home is seeking a dependable and compassionate Transportation Driver to safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and scheduled activities. This position plays an important role in supporting the independence, comfort, and well-being of our residents while providing exceptional customer service and care. The ideal candidate is patient, friendly, safety-focused, and enjoys working with seniors in a healthcare and long-term care environment. Responsibilities Safely transport residents to and from appointments, activities, and community outings Assist residents entering and exiting the vehicle as needed Secure wheelchairs and mobility equipment properly Maintain accurate transportation logs and schedules Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for daily use Communicate professionally with residents, families, and staff Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and facility policies Provide courteous and compassionate service at all times Qualifications Valid Indiana driver's license with a clean driving record Previous driving experience preferred Experience working with seniors or in healthcare is a plus Ability to assist residents with mobility needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to pass background check and drug screening Benefits Competitive pay Flexible scheduling Supportive team environment Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives Paid training Benefits available for eligible employees Schedule Day shift Monday-Friday Occasional weekends or special events as needed

Pay:

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
