Tazewell, TN Job Summary The CDL Class A Driver Tazewell, Tennessee location, is responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to deliver products to customers. This role may include local and regional routes, loading/unloading freight, ensuring accurate deliveries, and maintaining a high level of customer service. This is a hands-on position requiring physical activity, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer on local and/or regional delivery routes Transport goods using dry van, flatbed, or other trailers as required Load and unload products, using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when needed Secure loads properly in compliance with DOT regulations (including use of straps, chains, tarps if applicable) Verify deliveries against invoices and bills of landing Obtain customer signatures and return completed paperwork Inspect vehicle and trailer before and after trips; report maintenance issues Maintain a clean and organized truck, trailer, and work area Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies Provide professional, courteous service to customers Assist in warehouse duties as needed Overnighting in sleeper truck two nights per week and running local deliveries as needed Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record Minimum 2-3 years of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred Ability to pass DOT drug screen, background check, and physical Must be 21 years or older Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Experience with load securement (strapping, chaining, tarping) preferred Manual transmission experience preferred Forklift experience (sit-down LP) is a plus Skills & Abilities Ability to lift up to 100 lbs regularly Strong time management and organizational skills Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer skills
