Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Class A or Class B Tow Truck Driver, where you will be the essential link in vehicle recovery and roadside assistance. Your role is vital in ensuring safe, efficient towing operations for a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and commercial equipment. You will operate specialized tow trucks, including flatbed and heavy-duty models, to provide reliable service while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate Class A or Class B tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized models, to perform vehicle recoveries and towing services. Load and unload vehicles using proper cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit. Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting, minor mechanical repairs, and automotive diagnostics as needed to assist with roadside issues. Follow all safety procedures for vehicle loading onto tow trucks and during transportation to ensure compliance with industry standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining services professionally, and addressing concerns promptly. Perform vehicle inspections before and after towing to identify mechanical issues or damages; report findings accurately. Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including shift reports, incident documentation, and vehicle details. Qualifications Valid Class A or Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) with clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving and vehicle recovery towing. Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and minor repairs for trucks and passenger vehicles. Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading practices on tow trucks. Strong understanding of flatbed operations and vehicle mechanics relevant to truck drivers. Excellent driving skills with manual transmission experience preferred. Ability to manage conflicts professionally while maintaining a positive attitude in stressful situations. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures, basic troubleshooting, and mechanical vehicle repairs. Commitment to safety standards and adherence to traffic laws at all times.
