Job Purpose :

Drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor trailer, box truck, or flatbed combination to transport and deliver product loose or in packaged form.

Job Requirements:

Must have a current valid Class A CDL license. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 3 - 6 months related experience and / or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be willing to work in the finish area when not driving. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients and other employees of the organization in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to effectively solve problems. Will be regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Job duties:

This job has no supervisory skills. Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition. Drives truck to destination. Maintains driver log according to ICC regulations. Assists workers in loading and unloading trucks. Perform other duties as assigned.
