Hiring for both our Whiteland and Lafayette Blvd sites Job Description The Commercial Drivers are responsible for operating heavy-duty trucks with front or rear end load lift attachment. Drivers are responsible for providing the pickup service of containers filled with waste or recyclable materials. Containers may weigh in excess of 1000 pounds and at times require drivers to maneuver wheeled containers to a pickup stage area. Driver will transport the material to a disposal, transfer, or recycle facility when trucks reach legal load capacity. This role navigates high traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential to successfully perform this job. Requirements Eligible to work in the United State without requiring sponsorship Must be at least 18 years of age Must have at least a valid Class B CDL Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years Must successfully complete pre-employment testing Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training Physical Demands/Environmental Factors While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear Occasionally required to stand and walk Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
