Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Essential Job Functions:
Delivers lumber, hardware and building materials to customer's job site Reloads pickups of lumber, hardware and building materials onto truck from job site and returns them to lumberyard Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment. Ability to operate vehicles in congested areas with limited space and potential obstacles. Comply with all applicable Department of Transportation regulations including but not limited: Controlled Substances, Commercial Driver Licensing, Driver Qualification, CMV Operation, Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance, etc. Assists workers in loading and unloading trucks; Inspects delivered products for quality and damaged appearance at time of delivery Ensures all shipping documents and receipts are properly completed Maintains driver log according to state and federal regulations Uses straps to secure cargo during transit Maintains good company image by presenting a clean and neat appearance while delivering merchandise to customers Assists customers and stocks merchandise consisting of lumber and building materials when not on deliveries Stacks lumber in yard or in warehouse Builds loads Performs other duties as requiredRequired Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points. Ability to remain focused in busy environment.Safety Requirements:
Wears high visibility, safety PPE, and proper uniform Performs daily vehicle inspections Safely operates equipment Promptly report all accidents/incidents and damaged products Report any malfunctioning equipmentQualifications:
Education Experience Licenses and Certifications High school Diploma or GED, Preferred At least two year related experience preferred.CDL Class B or CDL Class A Physical Demands:
