Job Summary:

We are seeking reliable and experienced Driver/Drivers to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting US Mail to its designated locations. This position requires excellent driving skills, ability to back 3 axle sleeper tractor with a 53' box trailer into tight spaces, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Must have a CLEAN MVR, pass FBI clearance, pre-employment and random drug testing. Must be 25 years of age or older, 2 years verifiable experience. This job would be excellent for females and/or semi retired. The hours can be split between two reliable drivers. The equipment is all rolling stock and/or palletized. Paid holidays and vacation pay. Emporia to Kansas City daily, Monday thru Saturday. Off Sat 3:20 am to 10:30 pm Sunday. MUST be proficient in backing up a 53' trailer with a three axle tractor. Approximately 4.5 hours daily.

Responsibilities:

• Operate semi trucks.
• Load and unload US Mail using pallet jacks and other equipment.
• Ensure the safe and timely delivery of mail to Post Offices.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs and delivery receipts.
• Provide exceptional customer service by forwarding any and all inquiries or concerns to supervisor or management.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and two years verifiable experience. MUST be able to efficiently back up 53' Dry Van into closed spaces.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably with experience in operating various types of vehicles.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is preferred, but not mandatory
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
• Must be able to pass a background check with no felonies, as you will be going onto US Government property. Clean MVR requested prior to interview.
• Must have or be able to pass a DOT physical.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
