An Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver specializes in long distance routes, often away for days or even weeks at a time. Sometimes also referred to as Long Haul drivers. Commonly paid in cents per mile driven.

What You'll Do Safely operate a tractor/trailer and transport products to and from specified destinations in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Load and unload trailers, which may include manual loading, palletized loading/unloading, use of a two-wheeler, and lifting product overhead Transport chips, dips, and more to large grocery stores, Frito-Lay manufacturing facilities, rural storage units, and other traffic centers Obtain signatures of receipt, pick up returns, complete logs and paperwork related to deliveries, and review invoices and/or manifests Use an electronic logging device, such as a tablet or onboard computer, and complete pre- and post-trip truck inspections Communicate with customers, sales drivers, and dispatch throughout the day or night What to
