Overview:
Pillar (formerly Apple Patch) is a leading nonprofit agency with a mission to support people with disabilities by promoting opportunities, choice, and connection to the community. Transportation is a vital service that requires excellent driving skills and the ability to support and engage with the people we serve. Maintenance support helps ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residential clients. This combined role offers meaningful, purposeful work with Pillar.
Job Summary:
The Driver / Maintenance position is a combined hybrid role responsible for safely transporting participants on scheduled routes and supporting daily property maintenance needs between or around transportation assignments. This position helps create a safe, respectful, and pleasant experience for the people we serve while assisting with routine facility, vehicle, and property maintenance tasks assigned each day. Support the mission, vision, and philosophy of Pillar. Support and facilitate positive interaction with others by exhibiting: Individual maturity, respect for others, a team-centered approach, maintenance of confidential information, and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace. Exhibit effective communication skills. Participate in appropriate professional development programs to attain and maintain competency.
Essential Functions:
Essential functions include safe transportation, passenger assistance, vehicle readiness, daily trip documentation, routine facility and property support, basic maintenance task, timely reporting of safety concerns, and respectful interaction with the people Pillar serves.
Hours:
This position supports early morning and late afternoon transportation routes, Monday through Friday, with maintenance support scheduled between or around transportation needs. The schedule may be full-time, split shift, or part-time based on operational needs and employee availability. This position reports to the appropriate Transportation and Maintenance supervisors based on daily assignments and operational needs.

$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
