CDL Driver

•Looking for a CDL driver to run local routes 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday•Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Driver to join our dynamic team. Your expertise in truck driving, load handling, and vehicle operation will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, ensuring smooth and safe driving across various routes. Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement. Deliver freight accurately to multiple destinations, adhering to planned routes and schedules. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, inspections, and any incidents during shifts. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve issues promptly. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle types operated. Experience operating manual transmission trucks and driving refrigerated trailers or flatbeds is highly preferred. Proven track record in truck driving, including route driving and delivery experience. Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual techniques; forklift certification is a plus. Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving, tanker operations, and cargo securement. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
