Job Description

Forward Air is seeking experienced CDL-A Owner Operators to support our nationwide expedited LTL and truckload network. Partner with a safety-focused, performance-driven team moving retail, e-commerce, and industrial freight across North America. You'll haul no-touch or minimal-touch freight on consistent lanes, supported by 24/7 dispatch, advanced logistics technology, and steady volumes. Responsibilities Operate and maintain your tractor-trailer safely in compliance with DOT and company standards Transport expedited LTL and truckload freight on regional and long-haul routes Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document findings Use ELD and logistics technology for accurate tracking and on-time deliveries Coordinate with dispatch for load assignments, route planning, and scheduling Manage required documentation including bills of lading and delivery receipts Maintain communication with customers and terminals to ensure service quality Manage your owner-operator business expenses including fuel and maintenance Required Skills CDL-A truck driving Freight handling Logistics coordination Electronic logging devices (ELD) use Route planning Time management Vehicle safety inspections Compliance with DOT regulations Basic truck maintenance Customer service
