Job Description

Driver Job Description Split Shift Hours:
6am to 10am with long break then 2pm to 6pm (occasional mid-day pick-up/drop-offs) This position is responsible for overseeing the transportation services for individuals eligible for Medicaid transportation under the SCL and Michelle P. Waivers. The role reports directly to the Director of Transportation We provide transportation for adults with intellectual disabilities, assisting them from their homes to adult day training programs and returning home. Some of your responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe bus, as well as ensuring the safety of all passengers.
Specific Duties:
Provide safe transportation for assigned service recipients in busses, vans, and other approved vehicles Pickup participants during their allotted time Responsible for the upkeep of logs for mileage, oil, gas, and purposes of trips Make sure all participants are using a safety seat belt and all wheelchairs are locked in correctly ALL traffic laws and parking regulations are to be followed Maintaining certifications and licensures as needed Maintaining a driving record that is free of accidents, citations, or other incidents that may reduce insurability Prepare proper records in accordance with billing procedures Takes care of maintenance of assigned vehicles with vehicle maintenance procedures Participates in team meetings and other committees as assigned Participates in training and self-improvement activities as assigned Others duties as assigned NO CDL REQUIRED
