Vending Machine Route Driver Job Specifications:

All applicants will be subjected to pre-employment background investigations and drug screens. Must possess a high school diploma or a general education degree (G.E.D.). Must possess strong interpersonal skills.• Must possess ability to lift 50lbs. Must be punctual and dependable. Must be able to manage time effectively. Preferred to possess basic information in utilizing office equipment (e.g. barcode readers, and Windows Mobile Handhelds). Preferred to possess merchandising skills from previous work experience. Preferred to possess basic safety training (O.S.H.A.) and a transport worker's identification card (T.W.I.C.). Preferred to possess Personal Protective Equipment (e.g. Fire-resistant clothing and steel toe boots). Full-time Vending Machine Operator must possess the ability to work all days that routes will be operating. In some cases, if needed, Vending Machine Operator may have to work weekends.

Job Description Daily tasks:

Drive to predetermined, daily assigned locations. Remove money from vending machines, keep records of receipts, or records items consumed for billing purposes. Place food or drink items on shelves of vending machines and change shelf labels as required to indicate selections. Makes change for customers, and answers questions regarding selections. Adjust temperature gauges to maintain food items at specified temperatures. Perform minor repairs or adjustments on machines to correct jams or similar issues, using hand tools. Be able to assess problems with vending machines and report to proper supervisors.

Beginning Tasks:

Make sure that correct inventory levels are available. Before leaving warehouse, be sure to have all needed job essential items (Dolly, hand tools, P.P.E.).

Closing Tasks:

At the end of the workday rotate inventory on route truck in order to minimize waste. Check for trash and clean out truck daily to allow for a clean and clutter free work environment. Document outdated and damaged products, to allow for proper accounting. Submit daily reports, and submit collections at the end of each day. Other Information Follow company provided dress code. Hazards:

Should be vigilant in observing surrounding to avoid accidents and near misses. Be aware of posted danger signs, restricted zones, possible chemical exposures, pedestrians, forklifts, and all posted service location's policies and procedures.
