Field Technician

Overview The Field Technician supports environmental and industrial service operations, including hydro excavation, waste handling, and site services. This position requires a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and customer service while working in physically demanding and potentially hazardous environments. This position is working outside in the elements. Duties Operate equipment such as hydro vac trucks, vacuum systems, and other industrial tools safely and efficiently Perform hydro excavation, line locating, tank cleaning, and environmental service tasks Work at heights and in confined spaces while following all safety protocols Follow directions and complete assigned job tasks accurately and efficiently Complete and submit all required job tickets, logs, and paperwork daily Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customers on job sites Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times Be on time and ready to work when arriving at the yard or job site Wear all required PPE at all times (hard hat, FR clothing, safety glasses, gloves, etc.) Act as a spotter when backing or maneuvering vehicles and equipment Identify unsafe conditions and stop work immediately, notifying a supervisor Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed based on job demands Assist with equipment maintenance, cleaning, and inspections Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License (required) Ability to travel and work out of town as needed Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and perform physically demanding work Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and equipment Strong understanding of safety procedures and OSHA compliance (OSHA 10/40 a plus) Experience with hydro excavation, vacuum trucks, or industrial cleaning preferred Experience in environmental, oil & gas, construction, or municipal services preferred Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork skills Dependable, safety-focused, and strong work ethic Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background check, drug screen, MVR) Skills Strong safety awareness and hazard recognition Mechanical and technical aptitude Ability to operate and maintain equipment Problem-solving and decision-making skills Effective communication skills (verbal and written) Teamwork and collaboration Time management and reliability Attention to detail and accuracy Customer service and professionalism Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Pay:

$16.00 - $16.50 per hour
