Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role requires operating different types of trucks, including flatbeds, dump trucks, and refrigerated trailers, while ensuring timely delivery of freight. Duties Safely operate various types of trucks, including flatbed and dump truck configurations. Execute route driving to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Manage loading and unloading of cargo, utilizing forklift equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for hours driven and mileage. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver with a strong understanding of route driving techniques. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Familiarity with handling refrigerated trailers is an advantage. Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards. Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading cargo efficiently. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills for interaction with clients, dispatchers, and team members.
